Scent-Lok's Wildlife Point Blank features one of the outdoor industry's
most knowledgeable bow hunters in the sport. We are proud to have Phil as part of
our team for his experience and his ability to make people feel special and help
make them better hunters themselves.
Phil started bow hunting at the age of 10 for small game and took his first big
game animal with a bow at age 15. Since that time he has taken over 150 big game
animals from around the world in the past 22 years.
Phil has been a successful guide and outfitter for the past eighteen years. He has
taken 25 different species of big game animals including 15 different states including
deer, elk, antelope, mountain lion caribou and brown bear. He has harvested black
bear, mule deer and moose from across Canada and the northern territories. Internationally
he has taken red stag, chamois, boar and sheep from New Zealand. He has made several
safaris to Zimbabwe and South Africa for numerous plains game animals.
Phil has also promoted the sport of hunting by being active in numerous organizations.
He has donated time and hunts to organizations such as Bowhunters of America, Rocky
Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club and North American Hunting Club. He is a member
of the Colorado Bowhunting Association, Colorado Outfitters Association and life
member of the NRA, NAHC and Safari Club International. He helped start the Western
Colorado chapter of SCI that has raised over $250,000 for wildlife projects in the
past five years.
Phil is very instrumental in helping some of the industries premier manufacturers
field test and develop high quality products for companies including Scent-Lok,
Renegade Bows, Mossy Oak and New Archery Products. Phil exemplifies the dedication
to quality and effectiveness that these companies represent.
Phil hails from Montrose Colorado where he lives with his wife Leslie who is also
an avid outdoor enthusiast.
